The Curtis Products Story...

After World War II, Floyd Heckaman left Studebaker Corporation and began working as a manufacturers' representative. His son, Curtis joined him and they enjoyed success through the 1950s. In 1959, Curtis came across an opportunity to supply short run, formed tubing assemblies to a customer. But, he was unable to find a manufacturer to take on the work. So, he decided to put in his own bid, and was awarded the contract. When the purchasing agent asked who to make the purchase order out to, Curtis replied, "Curtis Products". When Curtis returned to the office with the order, he and Floyd began a new company.

Studebaker soon became their largest customer. By 1963, Curtis Products had grown enough to expand and move to its present site. But, shortly after the move, Studebaker shut down, requiring Curtis Products to practically start over. Floyd and Curtis set out to find new customers. Their hard work and perseverance paid off, and, by the end of the '60s, Curtis Products was a major supplier of fabricated tubing products.

Today, Curtis Products is America's tube fabrication specialist. With 180,000 square feet of dedicated plant space, a skilled and well trained work force, a management team that's 100% committed to top quality and superior customer service at the best possible price, Curtis represents the standard of the industry in tube fabrication.
