FAQ

What tube bending services does Curtis Products offer?

At Curtis Products, we specialize in precision tube bending solutions designed to meet the needs of high-performance industries. Using advanced manual, power fixture, and CNC rotary bending technologies, we achieve intricate bends with exceptional accuracy and repeatability.

Our CNC department now features a robotic bending cell, allowing us to automate complex bending sequences with increased precision, efficiency, and consistency, especially for high-volume production runs. This investment in automation enhances our ability to meet tight tolerances and demanding production schedules.

Our capabilities extend to a variety of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys, with tube diameters ranging from 1/8” to 3” OD.

What industries benefit from Curtis Products’ tube bending capabilities?

Our tube bending expertise supports a wide range of industries that require precision-formed tubing, including the below.

• Agriculture & Heavy Equipment – Hydraulic lines, fluid transfer systems, and reinforced tubing components for rugged applications.

• Automotive & Transportation – Fuel lines, exhaust systems, roll cages, and chassis components for performance and durability.

• Medical & Healthcare – Stainless steel and aluminum tubing for surgical, diagnostic, and laboratory equipment.

• Industrial & Manufacturing – Process piping, pneumatic systems, and heat exchangers essential for industrial applications.

• Construction & Infrastructure – Railings, support structures, and HVAC ductwork for structural integrity and efficiency.

With decades of experience, Curtis Products is committed to delivering durable, high-quality tubing solutions that meet or exceed industry standards.

How does Curtis Products ensure the quality of its tube bending services?

Quality is the foundation of everything we do at Curtis Products. As an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, we implement rigorous quality control measures at every stage of production to ensure precision and consistency. Our quality assurance process includes below.

• Advanced Inspection Technology – Digital measuring tools, laser scanning, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for dimensional accuracy.

• Comprehensive Testing – Destructive and non-destructive testing, including pressure, burst, and tensile testing, to ensure tubing integrity and reliability.

• Skilled Craftsmanship – Our experienced technicians adhere to strict production protocols, ensuring repeatability and high standards in every batch.

• Material Traceability & Compliance – Full documentation of raw materials, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.

By investing in cutting-edge technology and continuous process improvement, we guarantee that our tube bending services meet the highest standards for durability, precision, and performance.

Can Curtis Products assist with design and prototyping for tube bending projects?

Absolutely. Our engineering and design team collaborates closely with customers to develop cost-effective and manufacturable tube bending solutions. Whether you're working from a CAD model or just an initial concept, we offer the below.

• Design Consultation – Expert recommendations on tubing materials, diameters, and bend radii for enhanced performance and manufacturability.

• Rapid Prototyping – Utilizing CNC bending and 3D modeling, we quickly produce and test prototypes to validate fit, function, and efficiency before full-scale production.

• Reverse Engineering – Analyzing existing tube components to enhance their design, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
By involving us early in the design phase, customers benefit from shortened lead times, optimized production costs, and improved product quality.

What additional services complement Curtis Products’ tube bending offerings?

Beyond precision tube bending, Curtis Products provides a full suite of fabrication and finishing services to deliver complete, ready-to-use solutions, including the below.

• End Forming – Swaging, beading, flaring, and threading to customize tube ends for specific applications.

• Welding & Brazing – High-quality joining techniques for durable, seamless tube assemblies.

• Punching & Machining – Precision cutting, hole drilling, and custom shaping for complex component requirements.

• Powder Coating & Plating – Available through our trusted supply chain partners to enhance corrosion resistance and aesthetics.

• Tube Assemblies & Kits – Custom tubing components assembled and packaged for easy installation.

By leveraging both in-house capabilities and strong supplier relationships, Curtis Products delivers complete, high-quality tubing solutions that meet customer specifications.

Does Curtis Products offer piping solutions?

Yes, we do. While we specialize in tube bending, we also support customers with piping needs.

Here’s the key difference: tubing is measured by outside diameter (OD) and used when tight tolerances and clean bends matter—like in precision systems. Piping is measured by inside diameter (ID) and used more often in high-volume fluid transfer.

Our bread and butter is still tube bending, especially for applications that demand accuracy and repeatability. That said, we’re fully capable of helping with light to moderate piping projects, particularly when they need to tie into tubing assemblies.

If your job includes both tubing and piping, we’ll help you make it work—efficiently and to spec.
